"North Adams, Nov. 18 - Miss Dorothy Gertrude Depelteau, daughter of Mr and Mrs Wilfred Depelteau of 339 River street, and James William Slade, son of Mr and Mrs Charles Slade of Stamford, Vt., were married in Notre Dame rectory this morning at 8. The ceremony was performed by Rev L. P. Gauthier while the attendants were Miss Gertrude Gilmore and Arthur J. Depelteau, brother of the bride."
"The bride wore ashes of roses georgette with silver trimmings and she carried sweet peas and lilies of the valley. A wedding breakfast was served in Hotel Richmond after which Mr and Mrs Slade left for New York city. The groom is a graduate of Bliss Business college, Drury high school, and is employed as a salesman for the Service Appliance company in this city."

James Slade, 68, born in city
James William Slade, 68, of Mill Road, Stamford, Vt., died this morning in the Albany (N.Y.) Medical Center Hospital where he had been a patient since Sept. 18. He was previously hospitalized in North Adams Regional Hospital.
Born in North Adams July 5, 1904, a son of the late Charles and Jessie (Feige) Slade, he moved to Stamford with his parents as a child, attended Stamford Schools and was graduated from the former Bliss Business College, North Adams. He was a retired employee of Arnold Print Works, Adams.
Mr. Slade was a member of the Stamford Community Church.
Survivors include his wife, the former Dorothy Depelteau; a son, James W. Slade Jr. of Fern Park, Fla.; five grandchildren; three brothers, Clayton and Edson Slade of Stamford and Stafford Slade of Clarksburg; two sisters, Mrs. Harvey Garrisson of Schenectady, N.Y. and Mrs. Douglas Scott of Adams; and several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.
The Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements which are incomplete.
James is buried at: Millard Cemetery
